Earth Astrology Signs

Last week in my post Fire Zodiac Signs we learned about the element fire and the zodiac signs Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. This week we are going to take a closer look at earth signs astrology.

The element earth in astrology terms has the very defining trait of representing people who are dependable. Earth signs are also very serious.

People who fall under earth signs tend to be grounded, hard workers who never stop to question things; rather, they take things for what they are. They are resistant to change with the motto "why change what works." People in this element do not dig deep, rather the earth tendency is to take things at face value, lay down roots and watch things grow around them. The signs found in the earth element are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn. Let's take a look at these zodiac signs.

Taurus: April 20-May 20
The horoscope Taurus represents people that are neither the leaders nor the followers, rather the people in the middle that dot the I's and cross the T's. They are persistent and stable, and they value the familiar. Those born under the Taurus astrology sign tend to be very independent, mostly because they like doing things their way, and their persistence tends to make them good business people. Zodiac Taurus people have fewer friends, but are very loyal and treat the few friends they do have like gold.

While those born under the astrology sign Taurus are very persistent, they can also be viewed as lazy when they are given orders they don't want to follow — usually this is because they want to do it their own way. Their most negative traits are stubbornness, possessiveness and self-indulgence. They absolutely fear the unknown and will resist change with their stubborn streak to avoid the unknown. Taurus sign people are calm and easy going on the surface, but cross them and watch out, they have a hidden temper.

Virgo: August 23-September 22
People of the Virgo astrology sign tend to live more in their minds. They are exceptional observers because they take everything in and try to analyze it. They are brilliant problem solvers who on the exterior seem cool, calm and collected. However, in their minds they are constantly analyzing everything and trying to improve on what is there. In addition to being observant and precise, those born under the zodiac Virgo can be independent, reliable and helpful.

On the other hand, horoscope Virgos can live too much in their minds and come off as fussy, inflexible and skeptical. They can easily become very negative. It only takes one negative thought and it taints everything else as negative in the Virgo's mind. People born under the astrology sign Virgo can also be viewed as cold because they keep everything inside. They do not like to examine their own feelings and as a defense they will insist that everything is fine, when it most definitely is not.

Capricorn: December 22-January 19
Those born under the Capricorn sign are very independent to the point of being loners. They must have things their way and always be in control, leading them to lead very structured, organized lives. Capricorn astrology represents ambition, responsibility and resourcefulness, all traits that help the people of this sign succeed. Horoscope Capricorns are very loyal once they make a connection with someone because they rarely let anyone in and once they do, they do not want to let them go. Unlike a Taurus, the Capricorn astrology sign does not fear change per se, but they take a long time with change and accept it into their lives in a structured and organized way.

The other side of someone in the zodiac Capricorn is that they see things only in black and white. There is no gray area for a Capricorn. They believe there is only one way — their way — to accomplish things and they refuse to acknowledge other options. They appear unimaginative due to their insistence for rigid structure and control. They also believe that they can organize and structure the lives of those around them, leading other people to see them as intrusive.
