California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger set California’s renewable-energy target at 33% by 2020; right now, the state’s target is to get 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020. Gov. Schwarzenegger’s executive order clears the way for the state legislature to draft new laws making the target binding.

There’s talk that the incoming Obama Administration wants to create a “Car Czar,” a White House leadership post that could serve as a point person for federal agencies that deal with automakers. If this position is created it can also help steer the nation’s auto companies in the right direction, towards the color green, of course. Read more...

A theory, not widely supported but possible, suggests that very few or no sunspots on the face of the Sun presages global cooling. It seems to me that there is more and more “chatter“ showing up, on this subject. (Sunspots are black spots on the Sun’s surface. Read more...
