Why Go Green?
Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies are important rites of passage, celebrating our children’s transition from childhood to adulthood.
These life marker events are meaningful introductions to the rights and responsibilities of participating in
our society.
The occasion of your child becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is the perfect time to include the Jewish concept of tikkun olam, “repairing the world,” into your ceremony and celebration. The good news is you do not have to sacriNice style or fun to do it!

A Better Way ~

Ecofriendly Choices Small choices can make a big difference. For example, using local, seasonal, organic flowers instead of imported, cut flowers reduces the carbon footprint of your event, keeps pesticides out
of the environment, and protects workers in South America.
Giving guests tree or seed packets, organic or fair trade chocolates, or donations in lieu of favors helps the ecoconscious message take root. There are many ecofriendly options available if you know where to look!
