Hurrah!!! An economic crisis!

No I haven't become crazy nor am I being sarcastic!
The United States and the world, are calling for a big change. Looks like it's coming faster than expected!
Those Great Forces that everyone was predicting...are upon us and their shape today is economy. No, unlike the recent hurricanes, it is not a cataclysm! It's actually a great opportunity...No time to worry,or whine: it's time to react!

Action! That's what we need, now!
What can you do to help?
  • Vote for the change. Yes! Even if you're not democrat, even if you don't like Obama...even if you don't care about politics, at all...this is a chance for a new deal. What do you have to lose, with trying something new this time around?
  • Buy local! The "Big" economy is shaking? Protect yourself by buying to the little guy next door. Why? Because when you buy local, the money circulates 9 times within your community before going away. Nine times! that's how you can protect your own economy. Try it: mark a dollar, maybe you'll see it back in your hands...
  • Enjoy the present! Meet with friends, plant something : Because you don't know what you'll have tomorrow; if the crisis hits you there is nothing you can do about it... it's good news! because worrying will not change your faith, all what you have left is enjoying the present...
  • Be confident in the future: wipe off the scary schemes that medias put in our head. Crisis come...and go! This one WILL go. eventually. Sounds horrible to lose everything? What is everything? Be prepared. What do you really need in life? I bet it's nothing that the crisis can actually take from you.
  • Show Washington, Wall street and your neighbour what it is to be a human being! Be involved! All the fuss they make concern them more than you! they dont, actually, have much power on YOU and your happiness...you however, have so much power in your hands (and your wallet). They forgot how to behave? Show them! Share kindness, attention, humility and give!  Shape a new world, immediately.

Namaste! I agree with Cristele 100% Your suggestion makes perfect economic sense. Buying local goods and services increases velocity of money within your community (one person's expenditure is another's income - everyone benefits). For several decades now big corporations have been stuffing themselves with money borrowed on the basis of non-sustainable speculation at the expense of investors. This had to stop anyway. We can turn this crisis into an opportunity by reinventing the American way of life as greener, more peaceful and more innovative than ever before. As Bill Clinton said recently, "the world is more impressed by the power of our example than by the example of our power". Now all we need to do believe in our ability to be the example that the world will follow. We can do it.

Is it good? Is it bad? well, it just is and we had it coming for a while. It may just be the beginning, so yes, let's find some appreciation for it and use the opportunity for change...and try and be there for each other, so together we may even enjoy the process, not just the outcome :-)

Guys,
The world is on the verge of ending (in the way we can grasp it).
The signs are out there and with all the sorrow, we will not be able to stop it because our nature is bad and self oriented.  It is so self oriented that we are watching horrors on tv from other places in the world and after 1 minute we are back to the dinner table for a great meal.
So, who are we kidding?  All I am saying is, live life to the fullest and enjoy it as much as you can because tomorrow we might not be here.

I have felt like a change has been needed for several years now. This is our opportunity to get back to basics. Think of it as a world reset button- You know in your heart that we will be taken care of, the world is not ending, but getting a chance. It is time to be strong.

I agree. A crisis ususally feeds our mind before anything else, so we begin to beleive in it deeply, resulting in a thought patterns, which results in... yes! more crisis. The Law of Attraction can be ignored, but it doesn't mean it stops working. I say keep your mind clear from what you do not want to become a thought pattern, so you won't bring it on your own. Also, hang out with those that chose the same, since we become like who we are with. And especially I would avoid any heated passionate conversations about how much the economy is bad, or the government is not doing their job etc- these arguments have enormous creation energy that just perpetuates more of the same.

I agree with you Cristele. Last week's Newsweek cover, and Fareed Zakaria's article, were just how I feel, too. Unfortunately, most humans won't do what needs to be done until there's no other option. So if all this mess forces us as a country/world to make the sustainable changes we need, so be it. I do feel sad for the many people who will have a very hard time making it through the difficult transition periods, but maybe those of us who will be ok can help by donating our time and/or money to one of the many great causes out there.
